"Prison Break" Recap #3.03 "Call Waiting"
Sara makes a re-appearance, but Sarah Wayne Callies is nowhere to be seen (rumor has it FOX fired the actress). Lincoln plays a dangerous game with the Company, while Michael learns more about Whistler. Plus, Bellick offers to service the prison hairdresser in exchange for a shoe. And is "Prison Break" about to pull a "Seven"?
Lincoln obtains Polaroid images of his bound son LJ and Michael's love Sara. The brothers quickly realize Sara is trying to convey where they are kept by pointing to a name in a newspaper.
Michael however needs further clues and asks Lincoln to demand that they speak to Sara on the phone. But, before they can do that, he needs to find one at Sona.
Michael blackmails T-Bag (by threatening to expose his pedophile past - would anyone at Sona really care?) into helping him get Lechero's cell phone, while he is getting a haircut.
A reluctant T-Bag carries out the task and Michael finally gets to hear Sara's voice after a long time. She reveals he has time "till midnight" while they are keeping her "till three."
Once Lincoln gets to the place named in the newspaper, he realizes Sara's confusing message actually contains directions to the building where she and LJ are being kept.
Lincoln unfortunately fails to save his son and his brother's girlfriend and they are taken away in a van under his nose.
Meanwhile Mahone, who is shocked to learn he has to wait for almost a year until his trial date, senses there is a reason why the Company wanted Michael alive put into Sona and Whistler may be a part of that whole spiel.
Mahone threatens to kill Whistler if, I presume, Michael doesn't help him escape from that hellhole of a prison. Now fully dressed Bellick listens in on the entire conversation.
Michael has in the meantime learned Whistler could indeed have only been a 'fisherman' who operated a charter boat. The Company began to pursue him after he took one of his clients out in the sea to take water samples and make some kind of measurements.
The man who then disappeared was wanted by the Company so they are trying to get hold of Whistler whose bird guide contains his boat log and he can decipher it and recollect where exactly he took the man they are looking for.
Confused? I certainly was. If this is all that happened, then who put Whistler into jail? Or is he there by accident following the fight in the bar? Perhaps I am missing an important piece of information, so if anyone understands that, feel free to leave a comment.
Also in this episode, Sucre begs Lincoln for money, Whistler's girlfriend Sofia struggles to understand what exactly is happening (perhaps by January even the writers won't have a clue) and T-bag schemes to turn Lechero against his own people.
Finally, Lincoln is told by the officious Susan not to do what he tried to do again and just to make her point she tells him there is a special delivery for him by the trash.
Did the Company hurt LJ or Sarah? Does the box contain any of their body parts? We'll find out next week before "Prison Break" takes a mini-hiatus for the rest of October.
