"Dirty Sexy Money" Spoilers: The Flashbacks of Dutch George
Last month the producers of ABC's "Dirty Sexy Money" confirmed the casting of "Rich Man Poor Man" star Peter Strauss as Dutch George, the Darling family attorney and matriarch Letitia's long-time lover who was killed in the pilot. Here are now spoilers from the 9th episode titled "The Watch" in which the character appears in a series of flashbacks.
All flashbacks take place on Dutch's birthday.
In Letitia's flashback, the matriarch sneaks out of a family holiday in Valhalla to get together with her beloved Dutch giving him an extravagant watch as a present.
Dutch can't wear her present as he is too attached to the watch his father had given him.
He is also sad because of his deteriorating relationship with his son Nick (Peter Krause) and regrets not having more children.
An understanding and loving Letitia tells Dutch Nick has grown into an amazing man.
Burdened with guilt, she also admits to a shocked Dutch that Nick is not his only child.
Tripp Darling (Donald Sutherland) flashes back to a dinner with Dutch, when his long-time friend informed him he was quitting his job with the Darlings.
Although Dutch cited wishing to get his son back into his life before it was too late, Tripp sensed he was leaving for a different reason.
Finally, in Nick's flashback, a broken and drunk Dutch tries to reconcile with his estranged son on the steps of his apartment building.
Dutch tries to confide in Nick with a secret about the Darlings, but Nick wouldn't even listen to him.
At the end of their final encounter, Dutch begs his unforgiving son to take grandfather's watch as a gift to him on his birthday.
"The Watch" episode of "Dirty Sexy Money" airs Wednesday, November 28 at 10/9c.
