"Friday Night Lights" Extra Stills & Casting News
Last Friday I posted brand new stills of kids from the second season of NBC's outstanding drama "Friday Night Lights." Now here is the loveliest married couple on television - Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton - along with some fresh casting news, courtesy of TV Guide.
According to the mag, Nip/Tuck star Josselyn Gilsig who last season played Hayden Panettiere's estranged mother in 3 episodes of NBC's red-hot "Heroes" is joining "Lights" as Connie Britton's "hip, smart and single sister." I presume this may be a part of the "let's-add-sex-this-year" strategy. Personally, I say give us more locker room/shower scenes.
The show will now air on Friday nights where some people thought it belonged in the first place. The network realized its target audience are not necessarily teens and football fans as much as women and just about anybody who enjoys quality character drama. The second season premieres October 5 at 9/8c.
