ABC to Air "Private Practice" Special
ABC's much-anticipated "Grey's Anatomy" spin-off "Private Practice" premieres Wednesday, September 26 at 9/8c. Fans may however want to tune into ABC a week earlier to check out a special entitled "Come Rain or Come Shine: From Grey's Anatomy to Private Practice."
The special will air on Wednesday, September 19 at 9/8c in the drama's regular fall timeslot. Do check your local listings, though, as ABC has recently made a lot of changes to its current Wednesday schedule.
The fall line-up for the night starts September 26 with the premiere of "Private Practice" (9/8c) and "Dirty Sexy Money" (10/9c), but the 8 p.m. show "Pushing Daisies" launches a week later (October 3) because of the first "Dancing with the Stars" results show which airs September 26 at 8 p.m.
It is not clear if the September 19 "Private Practice" special will be simply a re-edited version of "Practice's" two-hour backdoor pilot, a behind-the-scenes look at the spin-off or a mix of both. Further details are however expected to be released shortly.
Meanwhile, the show star Kate Walsh is getting married this Labor Day weekend to her fiance 20th Century Fox executive Alex Young. Kate was caught by the paparazzi doing some last-minute shopping on Tuesday.
