"Private Practice" Hunk Cougar Sex Symbol

Former "Veronica Mars" hunk Chris Lowell talks about his new role on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" spin-off "Private Practice" and what it was like to tape his shirtless scene with Kate Walsh and other adoring older women.

In an interview with E!Online, Lowell says he got the role of Dell, Private Practice's hottie surfer/receptionist after being forced by his agents to audition for it while on a holiday.

The actor expected to do a quick Grey's-style shirtless scene in the pilot, but was instead told to take it super-slow and super-sexy. Lowell explains hot it all went down:

"So, we start shooting it, and I’ve got this surfboard, and I walk through casually and just throw the line away. And they’re like, "No, no, no. Come on back, Chris. Yeah, get both cameras. Superslow motion. We’re gonna rake up your torso. Can we get some mist on him?" The makeup [effects artist] is literally radioing, "Is that, uh, sweat mist or, uh, sex mist?…Sex mist? Okay, copy." And then it was the kind of thing where they’re like, "Okay, that was good, Chris. But this time, we want you to drop the leash on the surfboard, bend over slowly, pick it up and catch them watching." It was like, Are you kidding?!"



Finally, Lowell spoils that he won't be doing any of that in the next episode as his Dell will be studying to become a "holistic Souther California midwife" and sharing fun scenes with Kate Walsh shouting: "Let's go! Let's have this baby!"
