"Ugly Betty's" Immigration Drama
ABC has released the first promotional images for the May 17 season finale episode of its hit drama "Ugly Betty" announcing the guest starring appearance of Angelica Vale, one of the inspirations for the US version of the series, an appearance that almost never happened.
Vale is the star of the Mexican telenovela "La Fea Más Bella" and she was booked to play the assistant of Betty's orthodontic technician (special guest star, Tony-winner Kristin Chenowith.)
According to E! Online, the producers of the comedy ran into major immigration problems concerning the actress' stay in the United Stayes, but did manage to arrange a very short stay in the end.
Also, the actress lost her original Betty-like getup (wigs, costumes, specs, etc.) as she arrived from Mexico, so the production crew had to frantically search for replacements.
The episode "East Side Story" (#23) concludes the 1st season of "Ugly Betty" on Thursday, May 17 at 8/7c.

Angelica Vale played the only Betty i didn't like very much. Well, but i only know 3; the colombian, the mexican and America.
I also didn't like the mexican production of Ugly Betty. The Columbian series was fabulous! Angelica Vale is a very gifted comedian; the problem was with the production and the awful writing.
