NBC Renews "Friday Night Lights"
There is justice after all. NBC has announced it has renewed its Peabody Award winning drama "Friday Night Lights" for a second season.
Cast member Kyle Chandler seems to have expected the renewal when he blogged on NBC's website on April 11:
"The second season, we're gonna do some damage and get some great ratings!! We're gonna kick some ass! We're gonna open a can of whoops ass on these folks, be prepared! We're just so excited to get a second chance, we're HUNGRY to make it work and make it even better. We're gonna have a great year!!"
Sounds like someone is ready to tackle his prime-time rivals and as it appears, it will happen in a new, as yet undisclosed timeslot.
Meanwhile, NBC's soapy "Lipstick Jungle" may not make the cut in the end, while "The Bionic Woman" has already been picked up to series order.
Time-travelling drama "Journeyman," Josh Schwartz's spy comedy "Chuck" and cop drama "Life" will also make it onto the new fall schedule.
NBC presents the schedule on Monday afternoon.

Great news ! Looking forward for next ep !
Any news about a date for the first episodes ?
It's too early for that, Cristi. On Monday we find out what timeslot the show will be airing in next season, and then at some point during the summer (I would guess in August) the network announces the exact premiere date.
Unless they want to keep it until a later point in the season, it should premiere in the last week of September or the first week of October, as most of the shows do.
Finally the news I was hoping. Having NBC renew Friday Night Lights makes my day! Thank you NBC.
