Tahmoh Penikett Guest Stars on "Smallville"

The universe of Sci-Fi's critically-acclaimed "Battlestar Galactica" will collide with The CW's "Smallville" as one of the principal members of the cast, the Canadian actor Tahmoh Penikett makes a guest appearance on tonight's penultimate "Smallville."

The 31-year old son of former Yukon premier Penikett has played Karl "Helo" Agathon, a Lieutenant in the Colonial Fleet, for over three years on the "re-imagined" version of the genre classic.

Now, the actor comes to "Smallville" where he plays Wes Keenan, a military man who supposedly died fighting in Afghanistan.

The drama's resident villain Lex Luthor is trying to turn Wes into a "super soldier" by injecting him with DNA pulled from the various meteor freaks he has captured.

After a crooked senator threatens to expose his secret labs, Lex dispatches Wes to kill the senator.

Lois Lane (Erica Durance) witnesses the attack and inadvertently becomes the super soldier's next target.

The episode "Prototype" begins at 8 p.m. on The CW.
