TV Ratings: FOX's "Drive" Bombs
The series premiere of FOX's new action series "Drive" starring Nathan Fillion (pictured above) was DOA with 6,05 million viewers who tuned in to see the 2-hour pilot. The drama opened at 8pm with 6,41 million losing almost a million viewers by the end.
"Desperate Housewives" was the 9 p.m. winner as well as the most watched telecast in America last night. The show however pulled in only 16,12 million viewers, that's about 4 million less than the audience for the Carol Burnett episode that aired one year ago.
"Brothers & Sisters" was watched by 11,49 million people. The competing "Without a Trace" on CBS scored 14,31 million viewers, but once again the ABC drama was superior in the crucial 18-49 demo (4.5 vs. 3.5).
"The Apprentice" is down to the final two, but the once red-hot reality show failed to generate any excitement - week #13 was seen by 6,38 million viewers, that's a 21% decline over its lead-in - a repeat of "Deal or no Deal". You should be fired, Mr. Trump. That's a disaster.

I have yet to download and watch Drive yet but with ratings like that, I don't think FOX will continue the show, which is unfortunate because it's a great concept show. But FOX, being the cheapskate they are, don't like shows that have ratings < 10mil unfortunately.

I have given up on Fox....after the way they treated Angel (with the most crappy series finale... Cliffhanger as end?..And Amy Acker just hit the ball out of the park when she switched between Illiria and Fred..
And don't even get me started on Firefly...(which was also on fox i believe.... wasn't Invasion on Fox too?

I've watched Drive and my oppinion is good and untill Prison Break I think I'll stick around and watch this show but with this ratings on the first 2 episodes I don't think we will see the whole 13 episodes.
Well, Monday was episode 3, did anyone watch it? I am downloading all 3 episodes so I can marathon them this weekend.
Justin, I heard Supreme Courtships's working pilot is already available for review/preview. Now I need to find someone who can get a DVD copy. And yeah, I knew you forgot, that's why I had to remind you. :P
Stefan: You're thinking of Threshhold which was on FOX. That didn't last long. Invasion was on ABC, which lasted a year but still got canned by ABC. And Surface which was on NBC was only produced up to 16 episodes but no more. Too bad NBC gave up on that too. And yes, FOX has a very bad track record with new shows and existing shows.

Kong: Ah...i got a bit confused then.. I liked the pilot of Treshold and it's premise. But somehow after a few episodes i got bored with the show...can't explain why exactly.. It felt off.
Invasion i didn't like at all at the beginning. But as the season went on it got more interesting and exciting..and then..cancelled.(although the water sets of the swamps looked so wrong and fake)
Surface was the show i really liked at the beginning..The first couple of shows were great... Then it got bad..worse.. to aweful.
I think the show would've been better if they kept the mystery a bit more a mystery instead of going like a rollercoaster at the end..
The tried to be what Lost was the year before, and all failed.

I think you should have more ads on this site. Yeah, definitely, more ads.
