TV Ratings: Deflated "Idol" Wins Tuesday
The most boring season of "American Idol" continued to score winning, but no-longer-impressive numbers remaining last night at the season-low of 25,66 million viewers it had already posted a couple of weeks ago.
"NCIS" on CBS continued to do well opposite "Idol" with 14,08 million total viewers.
Then at 9 p.m. "House" capitalized on its plum lead-in keeping 21,29 million viewers glued to FOX. The elimination of Heather Mills was seen by 16,42 million viewers, while "The Unit" on CBS managed to pull in 9,86 million.
"Boston Legal" was the 10 p.m. winner with 10,12 million viewers.

You don't call 25 million viewers impressive? I sure do. Look at DH & Lost... 25 million is a miracle.
I never said the ratings were bad. On the contrary, they are great. But, impressive? The sixth season of "American Idol" has been losing viewers since its impressive premiere in January. And if you lose over one third of the viewers in 3 months and 17% year-to-year, that may still be great and make you #1, but I don't see any miracles there. I'm sure a better cast can improve the ratings next year.
I can only hope that America wises up and gets off this reality ban-wagon. AI and DWTS have been dominant too long now. Hopefully America will see this an abandon them.

Unfortunately, the networks will go back to reality shows again.
WGA strikes are looming. Oct. 31st is the deadline.
