"Desperate Housewives" Spoilers #3.18: "Liaisons"
Ian or Mike? The dramatic events in the next episode of ABC's "Desperate Housewives" may not resolve Susan's dilemma, but they may take her in the right direction. As Extra Magazine spoiled last month, Mike jumps into lake to save Susan.
According to an ABC press release, Tom feels threatened by the interest a new Scavo's Pizzeria employee shows in Lynette (guest star Jason Gedrick as Rick Coletti,) Susan considers moving from Wisteria Lane and a neighbor's darkest secret is revealed.
Mrs. McClusky's husband Gilbert (John Harnagel) makes his first appearance on the show in this episode, as does Gaby's hunky handyman Toby (Michael Guarnera) working around the damaged house.
But the event we're all waiting for is Susan's and Ian's car accident that ends with Mike jumping into water and saving both of them. Needless to say, Susan's engagement won't last till the end of the season.
By the April 22 episode the wedding will be called off. But does that mean Susan realizes Mike is the man for her? Perhaps she won't even have time to worry about that. Sources say one of the housewives is getting cancer, and it looks it will be Susan.
Even TV Guide reports that a May storyline will put life of one of the housewives in grave danger and all fingers point to Susan. Will Mike be there for her when she needs him? And didn't Marc Cherry promise 2 weddings this year?
So if the lavish wedding of Victor and Gaby is one of those two, who else is walking down the aisle? Only one way to find out. "Desperate Housewives" episode "Liaisons" airs this Sunday, April 15 at 9/8c on ABC.

Whether the reports that the entire main cast were signed on till 2011 were true or not I really want Desperate Housewives to finish it's 7 year run with all of the character we know (Bree, Lynette, Gabrielle, Susan, Edie, Tom, Carlos, Mike, Andrew, Danielle, Julie and the Scavo boys) to make it through to the end. It's be nice to see Bree and Orson stay together but somehow i doubt it. But Susan getting cancer seems a bit unrealistic, surely any early symptoms would've shown up in her MRI in S2 or will've developed but not be so advanced at this stage. I'm not medical expert but i don't want that to happen.
yes, the worst thing that can happen to a show with a strong ensemble is losing one of the principal members of the cast. it has happened many times before. one beloved character leaves and then it's all downhill from there. I certainly hope that never happens to "Desperate Housewives". And if it does than ABC needs to end the show gracefully.
