Say Goodbye To 24's Eric Balfour

Is Eric Balfour's Milo Pressman the next in line of CTU's dispensable agents to kick the bucket later this season? According to the latest casting news from Hollywood the former Six Feet Under and The O.C. alum's days on the clock-ticking drama may be numbered.

Hollywood trade press reports Balfour was signed on for a lead in the CBS pilot "Protect and Serve" as an intense and emotional police officer.

The pilot that actually comes from NBC Universal Studio follows the lives of street cops in suburban Los Angeles as they deal with the trials and tribulations of police life on and off the job.

Balfour previously appeared in the first season of the Emmy-winning FOX counter-terrorist thriller, only to return in its current sixth season.

Although some actors, such as "Melrose Place" vet Rena Sofer who can be seen in both "24" and NBC's "Heroes" do manage to juggle acting duties on multiple shows, chances are the hunky agent may be on his way out.
