New 90210: Brenda's In, Donna's Out!

Just hours after Entertainment Weekly exclusively revealed negotiations to bring Shannen Doherty (Brenda) onto The CW's revamped "90210," Tori Spelling (Donna) announced she is leaving the show 'for personal reasons'.

Those looking for a nasty behind-the-scenes bitchfight might be disappointed to hear Tori who has already filmed scenes for the pilot episode simply needs a little break as she has recently given birth to her 2nd child via C-section. Or does she?

Jennie Garth (Kelly) who is also on board the update has already released a statement confirming she has no problem with the hiring of Doherty (according to Spelling's memoir the actresses were involved in an on-set fist fight in the 1990s).

Doherty is however known for her feisty behavior that got her fired from the show after its 4th season in 1994. The original 90210 producer and Tori's father Aaron Spelling however went on to hire the actress for his WB series "Charmed."

Yesterday EW's new columnist Michael Ausiello reported, in order to come back to TV's most famous zipcode, Doherty wants to know the direction of her future storylines and demands a higher salary than the one she had already been offered.

Despite her demands and bad reputation, the producers are allegedly very eager to hire Doherty, as having 90210's 3 original ladies on the show would bring instant publicity and guaranteed early ratings.

I am personally curious to what extent the 3 ladies (Spelling says she will be back in the near future) will be involved with the redux. The show's already got a pretty big new cast and I wonder how they will gel with the old cast members.

Wouldn't the show feel just like the original series, now limping through its 18th year, after most cast members have already been replaced by a bunch of new faces? Put too many old cast members in and that just might be the case.

Will Tori Spelling Join Jennie Garth & Cast of New "Beverly Hills 90210" Spin-Off?

Now that Jennie Garth has joined the cast of CW's contemporary spin-off of "Beverly Hills, 90210" and the network has officially ordered the script to series for the 2008/2009 season, Deadline Hollywood Daily reports another original 90210 denizen Tori Spelling may also join the cast. For the time being, let's take a look at who's been cast thus far.

JENNIE GARTH - The actress, who played teenager Kelly Taylor in the original Aaron Spelling series on FOX, will play a guidance counselor at her alma mater, West Beverly Hills High, reprising her original role.

LORI LOUGHLIN - Former "Summerland" star has been tapped to play "the mom role." She will play Celia Mills, an ex-Olympic athlete who relocates to Beverly Hills with her husband (BH High's new principal) and two children.

SHENAE GRIMES - The "Degrassi: The Next Generation" star has nabbed the role originally intended for Hilary Duff. She will play Annie Mills, a theater-loving teen who relocates to Beverly Hills from Kansas with her adoptive bro and their parents.

DUSTIN MILLIGAN - The young actor who previously starred on CW's short-lived 2006 series "Runaway" was the first to have been cast in the 90210 redux. He will play Ethan, the big-man-on-campus star athlete at West Beverly High.

ANNALYNNE McCORD - Former "Nip/Tuck" star will play hot, rich Naomi, one of the most popular girls in school.

JESSICA WALTER - "Arrested Development's" grande dame, Jessica Walter, has been cast as hard-drinkin', faded, '70s-movie-star Tabitha Mills. Tabitha is the grandmother of the show's central teens, siblings Annie and Dixon Mills.

RYAN EGGOLD - "Dirt" star will play the role of Ryan "the teacher."

The roles of "dad" and "son" in the show's central Mills family have yet to be cast.

The cast will make a special appearance in New York on Tuesday as The CW presents its fall schedule at the Upfronts event for advertisers.

Tori Spelling Dishes 90210 Dirt

In her tell-all memoir and tomorrow night's 20/20 special Tori Spelling reveals her late father and uberproducer Aaron didn't know that everyone in the 'Beverly Hills, 90210' cast pretty much slept with everyone else. "It was pretty intense," she adds.

The actress also confirms her father himself insisted that her character Donna Martin (the role he obviously arranged she get) remain a virgin for most of the young adult drama's 10-season run.

Although Aaron Spelling built a half a billion dollar estate prior to his death in June 2006, he left just under a million to both his daughter Tori and son Randy, leaving the bulk of the fortune to wife Candy. ABC's Elizabeth Vargas interviews Tori Spelling this Friday at 10/9c.

Tori Spelling Gives Birth; Reconciles With Mother

Congratulations to actress Tori Spelling who has given birth to a baby boy and as People Magazine reports, her mother Candy was by her side. Tori reconciled with her mom after a long estrangement. Liam Aaron McDermott, who was born in a Los Angeles hospital, weighed 6 pounds and 6 ounces.

The baby's middle name is a tribute to Spelling's late father, legendary TV producer Aaron Spelling, who died in June.

"Words can't describe the joy and elation I feel at this truly happy event," Candy has said. "I am looking forward to doting on my new little grandson."

This is the first child for Spelling; McDermott, 40, has a son, Jack, 8, with ex-wife Mary Jo Eustace.

McDermott and Spelling met in Canada in the summer of 2005 on the set of their TV movie "Mind Over Murder" and tied the knot in Fiji the following May.

Tori Spelling In Labor

90210 star Tori Spelling is in labor. The daughter of late TV uber-producer Aaron Spelling (who passed away last year in June) and her husband, Dean McDermott, arrived this morning at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles where she is expected to deliver her first child, a son.

Meanwhile, Candy Spelling has told People Magazine that she and her estranged daughter Tori are trying to patch up their relationship. "We have been in touch with each other and are in the process of communicating and working things out," Candy Spelling says.

On Monday's Tori, 33, who appeared on the Today show, also said she was hoping to reconcile with her mother but did not go into specifics. Her brother Randy has however said: "My sister and my mom have been communicating for the past few weeks – and are planning to see each other soon".

Tori Spelling, Husband Open Chateau La Rue

The star of "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "So NoTORIous", Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott hosted a star-studded bash to celebrate the opening of their Bed & Breakfast Chateau La Rue this past weekend.

Tori, who is expecting her child later this month, opened the B&B as part of a new reality series for the Oxygen network.

The name for the lodging came from an Oxygen sponsored contest won by a 27-year old Sarah Riggs who was inspired by Tori's beloved pup dog Mimi La Rue.

The B&B is located in Temecula, in California's Riverside county and it was opened using $800,000 culled from Spelling's inheritance.

Celebrities attending the event included "Melrose Place" stars Kelly Rutherford, Grant Show and Lisa Rinna and their spouses. Tori herself appeared on "Melrose Place", a spin-off from 90210 in the campy drama's first season.
