Wentworth Miller once said he thought FOX's "Prison Break" could run for many years, just like hit procedurals such as "C.S.I.". After Monday's dismal numbers for season 4 premiere, the writers might want to think how to bring the over-the-top drama to a satisfying conclusion this year.
The 2-hour episode reunited Miller's character Michael Scofield with the love of his life, Dr. Sara Tancredi, whom the writers brutally killed off last year, after contract renegotiations with actress Sarah Wayne Callies failed. Dismayed by Sara's decapitation and "Prison Break's" increasingly contrived storylines some fans abandoned the series.
The audience erosion appears to have continued this year. After averaging 9.5 million viewers in season 1 in 2005, the drama has been losing about a million viewers each season. For the time being, it seems this year will be no exception, as "Prison Break" is now down to about 6.5 million viewers.
For this reason, the time may have come to finally bring down "The Company" and let brothers Scofield/Burrows catch their breath and put their battle against the invisible and lethal syndicate to rest. Providing there is another regular high-profile job waiting for the hunky Miller, of course.

I think that Prison Break should go on to season 5. Just give little bit of time and the viewers will return. After they see how good the season 4 is then no questions about it. Just keep writing and move on to season 5, you know make up another story for the brothers. ( maybe you can show how they start their new life)? Just trust me the viewers will return. Trust me on this one. Prison BREAK BIGGEST FAN.
ReplyDeleteObviously I am speculating, but I don't believe for a moment that he wants to come out. Ya know if he is, ha ha. With that being said, the show is God awful.
ReplyDeleteThey should leave the show with no dignity and abandon it now. Season 4 has some of the biggest writing patch work I've ever seen. It's terrible and should be put to sleep.

I have been watching every episode from the beginning but I can't agree more. Season 4 is getting a little ridiculous. They need to end this show this season.

I will be very unhappy if PB goes off the air. I think this is the best show on TV and I just love the actors and their roles. I think the writing is super! It keeps me on my toes and I am on the edge of my chair during the shows. There is always some twist; always a surprise. I look forward to every show. All my friends just love PB. We have big discussions the next day after the show. Please don't take Prison Break off the air; there will be a lot of unhapy people to deal with.
ReplyDeleteI love Prison Break and i thnk its a great show but i think they are right, not ot end it because of fan loss but becasue the situations they get in and out of our starting to be a little less entertaining i do like all the twists and turns of it buts its just running on and on and i think they should end it before its ruined. if it goes on for to long the writters will ruin it and make it corny and that would be horible i think they should end it with its dignity intact. i really will miss it but its for the best

has anybody actually looked back and realise that series 1 was actually on t.v but now they have to subscribe to sky or virgin to watch this now! i believe that this is the reason and i personally love it and dont want it to end i cud watch it forever! Please please please consider all us that are devoted to staying in and watching it iv never missed an episode and think it would be unfair to take it away from me boohoo (lol sorry a little dramatic)

I got a Terrible Headache when i heard that Prison Break is Ending in Season 4 I am So sad and i think that Prison Break should go on to season 5. Just give little bit of time and the VIEWERS WILL RETURN. Just keep writing and move on to season 5.Trust me the VIEWERS WILL RETURN.

yes i love prison break i adore all characters espesction my hunk miller. i am truley devastated that this show is coming to an end. but remember fans it doesn't have to end tragically. the last 6 episodes could be the most tremendous episodes that us fans have ever seen. but, hey just like the rest of you guys i do believe that prison break should go on to season 5. i also agree that they the writers can show how they started their new lines. viewers oh viewers tell friends to tell their friends to watch this show.

I love Prison Break have watched every episode since it started my life with prison break started when i accidently tuned into one of the shows I watches it i love it so managed to watch it from the begining, now in season 4 although I love the show to bits i do think its time to come to an end. i just feel sorry for the brothers, but as we have just found out they aint brother are they

ReplyDeleteYes it finished after episode 22. I loved it but didn't like the last episode that much but it was the best of all times. I wished it would of never ended. Have been following them for 4 years and would continue forever because it is very good.

ReplyDeletei didnt like the end of it =/ after all he passed every dificults he died bahhh fox is really start to be a shit =/ i loved prison since the first episode but the end was so bad, specially because im very sentimental, or sara dies or scofield dies they couldnt finish prison break with a happy ending i hate sad endings, and why scofield get that high technology operation advanced for 20 years from company if he died anyway, scofields mother did it and she lived and michael does the operation and dies after operation success, its really stupid and non sense =/ i preffer never watched prison break or at least the end, for me as a fan i would like to have an alternate ending lets do a petition who dont like this end, WE WANT ANOTHER hehe ^^

And this is precisely the very reason why there’s gonna be Season 5 and that Michael isn’t dead.. You know why? The time setting of season of 4 is 2009… In one of the lasts episode there is a scene in front of an embassy where TBAG was making some destruction in order for Linc and Mahone to proceed with their plan with Cristina… And when TBAG was caught outside the gate.. he was shouting that THIS IS AN OBAMA LAND!!!! Getz pipz? So one thing is for sure now… No Michael Scofield died in 2005. Happy now avid Prison Break Fans?!!! Hehe.. same here.. ReplyDeletei am a big Prison break fan & i would love to see a season five, but with the "real" Michael Scofield back because without michael scofiled there is no prison break. i dont see why the series should end its awesome, but if it has to end please give michael & sarah a happy ending, i mean everyone in the end of season four has a happy ending besides michael & sarah, they also deserve a happy ending, micheal has been there from the start, helping everyone & his character shouldnt be killed, so please bring him back, bring prison break back.
