VIDEO Update: Tonight's Gay Wedding on "Brothers & Sisters" (Spoilers)
Although legal recognition of gay marriage has yet to arrive in the US state of California, that won't be stopping "Brothers & Sisters" sweethearts Kevin and Scotty from tying the knot in front of their loved ones. Check out the Walker gay wedding album, after the jump.
The eventful 2nd season finale titled "Prior Commitments" (#216, airs Sunday, May 11 at 10/9c) will feature flashbacks with the Walker clan's deceased patriarch William (special guest star Tom Skerritt reprises the role), who - as Sarah (Rachel Griffiths) finds out - kept yet another devastating secret from his family.
Kevin (Matthew Rhys) and Scotty (Luke MacFarlane) make a commitment to be life partners, but will all of their loved ones be there to share their bliss? Expect members of Scotty's family The Wandells to appear in the episode. The commitment ceremony will also be an important opportunity for Uncle Saul (Ron Rifkin) to finally deal with his identity in a public way.
Actor Luke MacFarlane, who plays Scotty, recently came out in public confirming that he is gay, as many had speculated in the past. He revealed that like his on-screen alter ego Scotty, he also wishes to find that special someone and share his life with him.
Gay marriage is currently legal in Belgium, Canada, The Netherlands, South Africa and Spain. Civil unions and registered partnerships among same sex couples are recognized in many countries and territories including United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, The Czech Republic, Slovenia and other.
