TV Ratings: Monday (March 31, 2008)

"Old Christine" concluded its season with 85% retention out of "Two and a Half Men" on CBS, "Medium" retained over 90% of "Deal or No Deal" audience on NBC and a repeat of "House" successfully replaced "Canterbury's Law" on FOX.

NBC's "Medium" outperformed both last year's time slot occupant "The Black Donnnellys" as well as this year's freshman drama "Journeyman." Regular 9:00pm occupant "Heroes" is normally used as a launching pad for rookie dramas. Perhaps the network should stick to "Medium" when the Tim Kring series returns next fall.

CBS' switcheroo of "How I Met Your Mother" and "The Big Bang Theory" may have been the most brilliant scheduling move of the season. Not only does "Big Bang" generate season-high ratings for the 8pm timeslot, but the move has helped "How I Met Your Mother" gain almost 2 million viewers and exceed "Big Bang's" ratings for a third week in a row.

ABC:
8:00pm Dancing With the Stars (20.29 million)
9:36pm The Bachelor: London Calling (8.80 million)

CBS:
8:00pm The Big Bang Theory (8.68 million)
8:30pm How I Met Your Mother (9.67 million)
9:00pm Two and a Half Men (14.34 million)
9:30pm The New Adventures of Old Christine [season 3 finale] (12.41 million)
10:00pm CSI: Miami (15.53 million)

NBC:
8:00pm My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad (4.36 million)
9:00pm Deal or No Deal (9.95 million)
10:00pm Medium (9.54 million)

Fox:
8:00pm House (R) (7.51 million)
9:00pm New Amsterdam (6.63 million)

CW:
8:00pm Gossip Girl (R) (1.10 million)
9:00pm Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious (1.27 million)
