CW's "One Tree Hill" Season 5 Cast Stills

The CW has already confirmed "One Tree Hill" is returning to its schedule with as many as 6 all-new episodes, in a new timeslot (Mondays at 9/8c, following "Gossip Girl") on April 14. But will the show be renewed for a 6th season?

The final decision may depend on the performance of those 6 episodes, but season thus far, the show's groundbreaking, time-leaping 5th season has shown a promising growth in the ratings.

The show's ratings suffered most in 2005, following its move to a new timeslot on The WB (or perhaps due to stars Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush calling it quits?), when they declined from 4.3 to 2.8 million.

This season, "One Tree Hill" has averaged 3.28 million viewers through February 17, 2008, up from 2.9 million it averaged last season. That means the show is now one of struggling CW's top-rated scripted dramas.
