CW Post-Strike Show Return Dates
The CW announced on Friday the return dates for its hottest shows coming back with all-new originals this spring. Check out when your favorite show returns and for how many episodes, after the jump.
SMALLVILLE: CW's top drama won't really have a strike-induced hiatus, since there are still 3 pre-strike episodes to air in March. In the meantime, the studio will produce 5 more episodes and they begin Thursday, April 17. That means there will be a total of 20 episodes this season.
SUPERNATURAL: The horror flick series runs out of new episodes next Thursday and takes a short break to make way for "Reaper." The show will be back on April 24 with 4 all-new episodes, bringing the season total to 16. The season finales for both "Smallville" and "Supernatural" air on May 15.
ONE TREE HILL: The 5th season currently airs on Tuesday nights. 12 pre-strike episodes have been filmed. 6 more will be added for a total of 18 episodes this season. The first of those 6 will air in the show's new timeslot on Monday nights at 9:00pm, after "Gossip Girl," on April 14.
GOSSIP GIRL: The hit freshman drama returns with all-new episodes in its new time slot on Monday, April 21. There will be 5 fresh installments, for a total of 18 episodes in its inaugural year. The show has yet to be renewed for a second season.
REAPER: Following a short run on Thursday nights (3 pre-strike episodes have yet to air), the show will shift back to Tuesday nights on April 22 with 5 more originals. There will be a total of 18 episodes this season. 10 have aired thus far. No word on a second season renewal yet.
THE GAME: The comedy returns March 23 for 9 all-new episodes.
NOTE: "EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS" filmed a full season of 22 episodes prior to the strike and will continue its run uninterrupted.
