ABC's "Brothers & Sisters;" "Dirty Sexy Money" to Shut Down Soon

Greg Berlanti, the executive producer of ABC's "Brothers & Sisters" and "Dirty Sexy Money" said on the picket lines on Thursday his shows will have completed 12 and 11 episodes respectively before shutting down in the next couple of weeks.

The cast and crew of "Brothers & Sisters" led by Sally Field (who appears to have gotten into both her Norma Rae and Nora Walker characters) and her on-screen sons Dave Annable and Matthew Rhys accompanied their show runner in protest on Thursday.

"Brothers & Sisters" is currently filming the 10th episode of the series "The Feast of the Epiphany," while "Dirty Sexy Money" has begun work on the 11th episode called "The Fantini Brothers."

The latter was originally supposed to air in January as its storylines takes place after the show's Christmas episode "The Nutcracker". It is not clear when (and if) it will make it onto the air.

13 scripts have been written for "Dirty Sexy Money" but with the writers and show runner walking out of production, the studio appears to have opted not to film the last two scripts as they are often needed for last minute polishing.

Hey, that's a great idea, Alfred! :)
Just kidding.

For the time being, there's plenty to write about with all the remaining fresh episodes.

And I guess the strike developments will keep me busy, too.

Whatever I do, I'm pretty much sure I won't be writing about the new crop of reality shows.

And I'll try to stay away from Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.

I hope that The Terminator can settle this. I heard that he's been called in. Shame they don't televise the developments of these writer's strike. It seems to be just like a television show. "Writer's Strike: The Sitcom" Coming Soon!

Justin,

They're not shooting ep 11. They just finished or are about to finish shooting ep 10. Ep 11 sides came out on Nov 2nd. They will not be producing past ep 10. They have scripts finished up to ep 12 though.

You mean "Brothers & Sisters"? I know when the sides came out, but I figured they must have begun episode 11 if Kristin of E! claims they will have finished the 12th episode before their production shuts down. Well, if they do stop at 10, at least they'll be on a par with 'Desperate Housewives'

Kristin's cohorts got their info incorrectly. It's 12 scripts. 10 in the can with ep 2.10 finishing up. Episode 11 may be finished, but uncertain whether it is polished enough for production. Ep 12 is definitely not polished for production.
