"Dirty Sexy Money" Gets New Script Order
I was hoping ABC would renew "Dirty Sexy Money" for a full season of 22 episodes, but I guess this is a step in the right direction. ABC has announced it has ordered 3 more scripts for the luxe drama, as well as 3 the for Tuesday night comedy "Carpoolers" and as many as 6 scripts for Christina Applegate's "Samantha Who."
On Wednesday night, "Dirty Sexy Money" (8.6 million) defeated its freshman drama competition, "Life" on NBC (which is suffering week-to-week audience erosion) by nearly 2 million viewers overall and by a wide 28% margin in 18-49s.
"Dirty Sexy Money" won its hour against the World Series and all other programming in all key women demographics and also delivered week-on-week growth in all key demographics despite coming up against baseball.
The show conceived by "Six Feet Under" writer Craig Wright and ABC's "it" producer Greg Berlanti manages to retain over 70% of "Private Practice" audience, while ABC's Thursday night 10pm drama "Big Shots" retains only 45% of "Grey's Anatomy" audience.

For once, the shows I think are good are the ones doing fairly good. The shows I hate are the ones that are failing. I like that. I wish that TV would work that way more often. Lets hope it stays this way.
