TV Stars Join Anti-Homophobia Campaign


"Grey's Anatomy" stars Kate Walsh, T.R. Knight and Sara Ramirez, "Ugly Betty" stars Eric Mabius, Becki Newton, Michael Urie and Rebecca Romijn, "Brothers & Sisters" stars Rachel Griffiths and Jason Lewis and a number of other entertainers and athletes, including tennis legend Martina Navratilova and singer Lance Bass, have taken part in a new PSA campaign to battle homophobia and stress the importance of tolerance.




"Be an ally and a friend" is the theme of the campaign. There will be 25 ads, the first of which was unveiled today. TR Knight, Jerry O'Connell, Martina Navratilova, John Amaechi, Rachel Griffiths and Marlee Matlin appear in the ad. Subsequent ads will become available in the weeks ahead. The campaign is targeted at straight people whose support and tolerance towards GLBT community can empower combat against homophobia.
