TV Ratings: CBS Rules Low-Rated Sunday

CBS rose to the top on a night filled with clips shows, repeats and reality beating ABC by a little over one million viewers for the night overall. The most watched program was the 10pm telecast of "Cold Case" that lured in over 13 million viewers to CBS.

ABC aired a "Desperate Housewives" 3rd season recap show (essentially a repeat) that scored 9,79 million viewers at 9pm. That led into a new episode of "Brothers & Sisters" that dropped to 9,13 million viewers. Kudos to the family drama for keeping over 90% of "Housewives" audience, though.

With the absence of "Grease", a 2-hour edition of NBC's "Dateline" eventually rose to over 9 million viewers in the final half-hour leading into an impressive repeat of "Deal or no Deal" (10,29 million). Donald Trump's "The Apprentice" however sunk NBC's ratings to only 6,01 million.

Earlier in the evening a comedy-filled edition of CBS's "60 Minutes" averaged 11,37 million viewers, followed by a two-hour edition of "The Amazing Race: All Stars". The reality contest failed to perk up with repeats on competing networks bringing an average of 9 million viewers to CBS.

  1. The Desperate Housewives clipshow was rather entertaining. :) I liked it. Hopefully Housewives will revive Sunday night's ratings next week. *Cross fingers*

I just hope the hiatus hasn't hurt the show even more [rating's wise]. :\ The next episode looks really, really good.
