Gina Glocksen Voted Off "American Idol"

The soap opera that has become FOX's "American Idol" continued on Wednesday night as Gina Glocksen bid a sobbing farewell and Sanjaya Malakar once again easily moved forward to the next round not even making it to the bottom three.

Leggy beauty Hayley Scarnato and the Navy guy Phil Stacey were next in the firing line, but also managed to dodge the bullet again.

Judge Randy Jackson said on Tuesday Glocksen gave a "nice, controlled performance" of the classic song "Smile." Simon Cowell was however not impressed.

Eight contestant have remained in the wacky sixth season of the singing competition and next week they will be coached by Jennifer Lopez.
