"7th Heaven" Finally Canceled

Aaron Spelling-produced fluffy morality play "7th Heaven" or "The Show That Killed 'Everwood'" was finally canceled by The CW after 11 season on air, reports Kristin of E! Online.

According to the report, the producers and the cast of the show that helped launch the careers of Jessica Biel and Barry Watson ('What About Brian') have all been informed about the network's decision on Friday.

The family-friendly yet patronizing drama made headlines last year when the new network The CW announced an 11th hour decision to resurrect the show that had already been canceled by The WB.

The drama had already bid farewell to its loyal audience with a ridiculous triple-twins series finale last May when The CW decided to yank "Everwood", a WB drama superior in quality but inferior in the Nielsen ratings charts in favor of "7th Heaven."

  1. Barry Watson no Brian Watson!

  2. Oops. Of course, the actor's new alter ego is Brian, but his actual name is Barry.

Apologies. I guess "7th Heaven" left a truly lasting impression on me. :)

  3. Thank god...and I do mean that.

Anyways, it's too bad that actually CW chose "7th Heaven"...but "Everwood" renewal was based against "One Tree Hill" and not "7th Heaven" accordingly.

But at least I got my Emily Vancamp fix on "Brothers & Sisters"! :)

And Thank god again that "7th Heaven" is getting canned!
