Now this is what I call a blast from the past! Former "Dynasty" star Catherine Oxenberg whose mother is Princess Elizabeth of (former) Yugoslavia and her husband actor Casper Van Dien appeared on last night's...
...Genesis Awards show in Beverly Hills, California.
The Awards show pays tribute to the major news and entertainment media for producing outstanding works which raise public understanding of animal issues. The event took place in the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton.
Catherine Oxenberg is best known for her role as millionaire Blake Carrington's daughter Amanda on ABC's "Dynasty", TV's #1 drama in 1985.
Her character was the center of an ill-conceived royal wedding massacre story line that began Dynasty's ratings decline.
Casper Van Dien who is known for his roles in cult movies "Starship Troopers" and "Sleepy Hollow" also starred in a prime-time soap opera from the creator of "Dynasty".
Aaron Spelling's 2000 soap "Titans" was however a Nielsen dud ridiculed by critics for its cheesy dialogues and story lines.
PEOPLE Magazine gave the actor the "Sexiest Soap Star" title in November 2000, three weeks before "Titans" was canceled.
In 2006, Van Dien was a guest on Larry King Live, where he admitted that he was sexually abused by a female babysitter at the age of eight.
The couple and their five children (they have 2 daughters of their own) starred in a 2005 low-rated cable reality series "I Married a Princess".

Round these parts Catherine is known for her performance in The Lair of the White Worm. We didn't know that she did anything after that.
