TV Ratings: Old Christine Stumbles In New Timeslot

CBS aired a double episode of "Old Christine" last night at 8pm and over five millions viewers abandoned the Seinfeld vet's new sitcom. The comedy scored fewer viewers than the season-average of "How I Met Your Mother."

Over on FOX, a repeat of "House" matched the average figures for an all-new episode of "Prison Break" which was pre-empted last night.

The two-hour edition of "Deal Or No Deal" was the most watched broadcast in America last night with 16,67 million viewers glued to their screens.

An all-new episode of FOX's "24" did not benefit from NBC not airing a new episode of "Heroes" - the drama was watched by a healthy 12,32 million viewers.

NBC's new 10pm drama "The Black Donnellys" slipped another quarter of a million with 6,75 million total viewers tuning in. Although the midseason drama has not been able to exceed the ratings for "Studio 60", it is much easier to produce than the Aaron Sorkin-penned series.

A rerun of "CSI: Miami" did not only crush "What About Brian" on ABC (4,8 million), but it was also the evening's second most watched show.

The continuing success of "Deal Or No Deal" made NBC the top network on Monday night despite severe viewer erosion at 10pm.

I wonder when the Deal or No Deal train will slow down? I like the show when I do catch it, but it's not must see TV for me!

I do not watch Christine, but I'm surprised it dropped so much, do you think the hiatus was to blame (similar to Lost)? Some have suggested the change in daylight savings time? Seems everything except Idol/Fifth grader are taking tumbles lately...
