Katherine Heigl To Star In New Movie "27 Dresses"

"Grey's Anatomy" star Katherine Heigl (pictured above in a recent GQ photo shoot) will star in a new romantic comedy from "The Devil Wears Prada" screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna and directed by Anne Fletcher ("Step Up".)

Production on the film "27 Dresses" financed by Spyglass begins in New York and Rhode Island in May when Heigl goes on hiatus from her ABC blockbuster series "Grey's Anatomy."

Heigl will play a single woman who has served as a bridesmaid 27 times. She is enlisted once again for the job, but this time it will be particularly painful: Her sister is marrying the man the bridesmaid is madly in love with.
