The pilot season is in full swing in Hollywood. Studios are casting actors for their upcoming spring pilots which are normally produced in March, before the best of the best (after careful consideration in April) end up on TV network's fall schedules announced at the Upfronts in May.
The man who has recently engaged in a lot of steamy on-screen gay sex in Courtney Cox's supposedly controversial cable series "Dirt" and will always be known for playing Jake on FOX's sexy 90s sudser "Melrose Place" was cast in yet another provocative series - CBS's "Swingtown".
Show will star along with Jack Davenport as an airplane pilot in the 1970s-set suburban drama about a small town whose residents explore partner-swapping and open marriages.
In other casting news, "fat actress" Kirstie Alley has scored the title role in "The Minister of Divine", Fox's take on the British comedy "The Vicar of Dibley".
Also, Martin Henderson ("The Ring") will play Brad Pitt to Jordana Brewster's Angelina Jolie in ABC's TV version of theatrical blockbuster "Mr. & Mrs. Smith".
Finally, Mark-Paul Gosselaar of "Saved By the Bell" and "NYPD Blue" fame will star opposite Janeane Garofalo in CBS' as yet untitled public defenders comedy.

Ooh, Jack Davenport with Grant Show? I have to see this. I hope this pilot gets picked up. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd Martin Henderson? Nice pick. Good Aussie actor and good looking to boot. Definitely a good fit with Jordana Brewster, plus he's done action movies before so he knows the drill. :) Of course I would have love to see my favorite actor get the part but at least he's got a leading role in a new movie. :)
