I still feel that many of them failed due to an inconsistant scedule. I have heard that According to Jim probably isnt going to have to be cancelled, as they are writting this season as its last. It is a good thing for fans as that hopefully means a proper sendoff. As for Lost, I wouldnt hold my breath for a good lead in. Lost ran fleeing from that 9 PM slot and I dont picture anything taking off there. The best thing that can happen to LOST is if American Idol and Criminal Minds kinda thinned out each other's ratings, making LOST the #1 show of the night. Still, I think that everyone who is going to watch Lost, is still going to watch it, despite not having a leadin. Lost actually has only had a decent lead-in this season, I believe. Before that, it either had no lead-ins or had sitcoms before it, so, I think that Lost can survive without a lead-in. Still, you are right to a great extent. Lost doesn't really need a lead-in. Which is why it is odd the show that had become a smash hit at 8pm, moves to 9 and ends up at 10. Nevertheless, we know why Lost got there. ABC blinked.

Yes, the traditional sitcom is dead and I never really expected ABC's current Wednesday night line-up to succeed. As evident with My Name Is Earl, Ugly Betty and even Desperate Housewives, the networks will have to think outside the box when putting together a hit comedy in the future.

Having said that, I have nothing but genuine praise for ABC for what they have managed to achieve over the past couple of years.Justin Van De Kamphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07690256513604925066noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34409349.post-50864060072986502652007-01-05T07:43:00.000-05:002007-01-05T07:43:00.000-05:00Does Lost really need a lead in? I'm just saying, I dont think Lost really needs a leadin. On the ratings of the comedies, what did you expect? Sitcoms arnt the thing to see anymore, so they fail early, despite being good shows. This is the last year for According to Jim anyway.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
